I, too, have worn your shoes, having suffered with severe depression and anxiety for 15 years. I felt stuck, suffered with insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, and unwanted weight loss. I functioned at work but fell apart at home. Drank a little too much wine and thought this was how my life was going to be. Luckily, that all changed in 2012!

My path of healing started when I began to discover the power of the mind-body connection via Kundalini Yoga. Within 3 months I was off my antidepressants and never saw my therapist again! That led me to becoming a Healing Touch Practitioner, an Integrative Health Coach, and a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor.

I am here for you! Why? Because I want to make a difference in this world. Over the past 38 years as an oncology/hospice RN, I have seen the ravages of stress, resulting in my patients feeling stuck, having depression, anxiety, cancer, heart disease, chronic illness, to name a few. Had they known what I know now, their lives might have been very different. The power to heal is in YOU!

You only have ONE WILD & PRECIOUS LIFE! My mission is to give you the tools you need to be happy, healthy and thrive!

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is called “the yoga of awareness.”  This ancient yoga practice focuses on an uplifting combination of breath, movement, and sound.  Kundalini Yoga enhances physical vitality and strength as well bringing balance to the body, the mind, and the soul. The ultimate goal of Kundalini is to increase your self-awareness by silencing your mind and unblocking your chakras so that your vital energy can flow freely.  Kundalini yoga teaches skills that help you cope with the stresses of life.

Trauma Informed Yoga

Trauma Informed Yoga (TIY):  Very simply, trauma affects your whole mind-body system. TIY utilizes body-based therapeutic methods that address the entire person:  mind/body/spirit. Research has shown that traditional talk therapy is not always helpful in healing therefore, we will use movement, mindfulness, and the expressive arts to aid in your healing. 

Mind Body Soul Coaching

Integrative Health Coaching (IHC) empowers you to make long-lasting behavioral changes that will positively affect your health: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. IHC can be the bridge between medical recommendations and your own goals and your abilities to successfully implement these changes into your one wild and precious life!

Healing Touch

Healing Touch is a compassionate energy therapy in which practitioners use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and self-healing. Healing Touch uses gentle, light or near-body touch to clear, balance, energize and support the human energy system to facilitate and support healing for the whole person: mind, body, spirit. Healing Touch is a complementary, integrative energy therapy that can be used in conjunction with traditional therapies.

My experience as a master’s prepared RN and as a patient who suffered from severe depression and anxiety has taught me that most medical practitioners prescribe medication to mask the symptom(s) but never teach you how to deal with the problem. Do you want to feel better? Eventually without medication? It IS possible! I’m living proof!

I am a born healer and I love helping others. I have had many difficult things happen to me in my life, so I understand that you are hurting. Having been an oncology/hospice RN for almost 40 years, I KNOW how short life is and I want to make sure you get to truly LIVE and LOVE your ONE wild and precious life! I certainly plan to keep on living and loving mine! My priority is YOU! And if I cannot help you, then I will find someone who can.

I live in the Daytona Beach, FL area so if you’re local, we can work 1:1 in my office!  Otherwise, we can work via Zoom or FB Video.

 

The first session is 1.5-2 hours as I take the time to get to know you and your needs.  We’ll identify your goals and set action steps/homework.  We will usually end with a healing energy session.

 

After that, sessions are usually 1-1.5 hours.  We’ll chat first reviewing how you are doing, action steps you took and then you’ll create new ones.  If you are a trauma survivor, I’ll incorporate the creative arts to help your healing.  Most sessions include a healing energy session because, let’s face it, we ALL could use some good energy! 

 

For the energy  portion of our session, my office is quiet with low lights and an aromatherapy diffuser on if you consent.  You will lie on a massage table, and I’ll make you comfortable with props and cover you with a blanket.  After I explain what I’ll be doing, most people usually close their eyes, set their intention for healing, and take several long deep breaths as I prepare do begin your session.  I will use light touch or no touch (again at your consent) during the session.  Afterwards, I will gently awaken you (yes, most people fall asleep!) and ask you to share your experience.  I’ll then share what I observed or felt and then have you sit up on the side of the table and drink a glass of water.

Everyone is as unique as a snowflake but there are some commonalities.  Many of my clients fall asleep during the session.  Others fall into a deep relaxation.  You may feel physical sensations e.g. muscles twitching, stomach gurgling and some report feeling sensations of warmth or coolness.  Some have wonderful dreams, see colors, or hear things.  Many clients report feeling a sense of releasing  pain, anxiety, stress.  Almost all clients report an overall sense of well-being, calm, and relaxation. 

Healing from years of stress which has resulted in anxiety, depression, pain, chronic disease, etc. will not happen in one session.  Everyone is different but let’s be real.  It took you a long time to get to the uncomfortable place you are currently in so it will take time to heal from that. 

 

Research has shown that it takes an average of 66 days to change a habit.  Therefore, I offer packages and recommend you see me a minimum of 6 times over a 3-month period.  Consistent sessions over time with someone who will hold space for you as well as give you a little nudge at times, combined with the effort you are willing to put in will put you on a path to success!

Once we’ve agreed to work together, I will send you an intake form much like you fill out at your doctor’s office as well as Duke University’s Wheel of Health form.  It is an incredibly valuable tool for you to assess where you are in your life and where you’d like to be as well as reveal to me what your vision and values are for your life!  I use this information to help me stay true to YOU and what you want and need, not what I might “think” you need.  Pretty cool, isn’t it?

I offer 6 and 12-session packages.  You may pay in full, or I offer a payment plan.  You may pay with cash, credit card, Venmo or Paypal.
